I am half settled in California-- frustratingly perched on the stepping stone looking for land to leap too.....It seems, though I might have to rest here for longer than anticipated as the land seems to have wandered to better resting grounds.
I believe the landloss is for the best-- I have never been entirely at sea before and this time, I take my beloved in tow with me! Never have mornings been so sweet-- I can wander into the kitchen and find my coffee lovingly brewed by my man.
He works til dinner, and then, after either preparing a feast for his parents and me, we walk away from the suburbs into the wild lands, contained by the impotent fences-- We have seen mostly deer and quail and an Enormously handsome snail( named Ulysses. He met a fate ending in Death as, in a moment of girlish frenzy, I threw him across the street-- he hit the curb-- entirely by accident-- and he died)
One walk, produced a fox! He is our treasure! His name is Fantastic Mr. Fox. We could not be original because he really was fantastic and red. Fantastic Mr. Fox was not afraid to watch us as we watched him. There was something very enchanted about the whole scene.
Every time we walk we look for the fox! we haven't seen him yet-- but maybe, we will see the rest of his family!
Hey!
